Runaway

First chapter, runaway girl gets lost in the woods, and is being spied on.

Brenna leaned up against a covered tree and took a moment to examine herself,

she was covered in cuts and bruises, and the gash on her leg was swollen and infected.

Her clothes were dirty and torn from being worn for a week in the woods. She had run away about a week ago, because her parents were divorced and her mom was never home, they didn't care about her, and probably didn't know she was gone. Brenna sighed and looked up at the moon, she brushed her light brown hair out of her blue eyes and smiled, she loved the night.

She decided to lie down and sleep for a while, it might help her feel better, so she found a soft pile of moss and lied down pulling her knees to her chest, trying to stay warm soon she drifted off into a deep sleep.

Little did she know that three pairs of eyes were watching the girl fall asleep.

This chapter is way too short and, to me, does nothing to bring out the character. I have to assume Brenna is a key figure here. What has she been doing for the last week? Where is she? How is she staying alive? Many places you can go here to further the story.
