Cryptic

Where is she now?  What will she do?

Why is she here?  For me or for you?

She follows me closely with a look in her eyes.

She sticks to me close when there's a sunrise.

She's close but taciturn, its true if you see,

tell me what she wants, oh why'd she pick me?!

I'm scared for my life, oh why am I followed?

This whole situation can be too hard to swallow.

Where is she now?  What will she do?

Why is she here?  Was she someone I knew?

'Course, I didn't know at the time, you can see,

it was my shadow [my friend] who watched after me.

Clever and cute. I liked the piece's sense of suspense as I did not even begin to guess what it was about until you had to point it out in the end. Well done.

Only suggestion: "Taciturn" was really throwing off the flow for me. Perhaps you can use a word that is not three syllables, like "aloof" or something.
