A Poem by oranges_melt
"

defenseless, weak, disabled.

"

the light surrounds me,

my knees go weak,

challanged, unworthy,

I lose technique.

I need a psychic,

need advice,

no words to manage,

dreadful eyes.

when people watch,

your heart will beat,

too soon too slow,

it's incomplete.

On stage, up high,

no second thought,

no words of wisdom,

I feel caught.

between a wall,

the web of lies,

they give you hope,

then stab your eyes.

But when I got up,

and sang tonight,

I can't help think,

I did alright.

I think by reading your comment, "defenseless, weak, disabled" I wasn't expecting something so structured. And with such beautiful words, it might do you some good to play around with your structure and rhyme scheme to match the emotions of the piece. Otherwise, this is lovely. Thank you for sharing.
