FlawA Poem by oranges_meltdon't be afraid. i am with you. Can't look in the mirror. Too scared of the sight. Hideous monster that's cast from the light. Afraid of the people do you see what they see? The monster outside or the girl inside me? My nails bitten down and my hair out of place feel like living a chore I am living a race. The people will run when they see what I see that thing in the mirror a makeover plea. My face twisted up but what do you know? You take me all in as if I don't own a flaw. I'm trying to hide me but you won't allow you give me a mirror a hope and a vow. To love me for me the way I was born though hurt I have been left to cry and to mourn. Holding the mirror I smile, I'm free there's nothing to fear of the girl inside me. So I open the door and who would have guessed? The people just smile you figure the rest. © 2008 oranges_melt |
