Tantrums

Tantrums

A Poem by oranges_melt
"

rhyming/death/disease/hope

"

Who's the nerd-who's your wuss,

whose the dude that lies,

judgement flies from day to day,

that suckers like us buys,

we pay for scams and theft and deeds,

that leave us all for dead,

when there's hope and when there's peace,

don't brush off what's been said,

cancer is a deadly 'mare,

that dummies just don't get,

smoking is a hell way in,

no worries-no one to fret,

nerdy kids get beat up by,

the bullys--they don't care,

holding hands and smiling big,

hell no--that's just a rare,

blue skys to see and rainbows too,

that's only in our dreams,

hearts and love and warming thoughts,

that's breaking at the seams,

tantrums burning--rage is churning,

love is just not there,

sick new rulers, evil kings,

the dreadful newly heir,

where's the freedom-where's the love,

and what happened to Wendy's fries,

lost in disease and lost in death,

all tangled up in our lies,

TV used to be the bigger thing,

and marriage rings were fate,

I guess the world has lost the hope,

'cause drugs gone up in rate,

If only we could smile more,

and hold hands a bit of time,

I wouldn't have to stare at you,

or sing this awful rhyme.
