Light of the Day

Light of the Day

A Poem by oranges_melt
"

rhyming poem. religious, sad.

"

The rocks under the hole,
the hate filling our soul,
the light of the day,
will burn anyway,

no hope in our lives,
the blood on our knives,
the skin is to peal,
the broken up deal,

choas is surrounding,
people are shouting,
friends become foes,
and good girls to hoes,

gunshots are heard,
hate's been assured,
fighting is now,
what to allow?

Crying is always,
running in hallways,
bleeding is fate,
love turned to hate,

The rocks under the hole,
the hate filling our soul,
the light of the day,
will burn anyway,

where is this hope,
where art' thou cope,
who shall I save,
who will behave?

Who will try to pray,
who will try to say,
what is there to do,
what's left of us to screw?

Why do you live alone,
overthrow the bloody throne,
nothing left of love to say,
why do you live anyway?

Try to save the love that's been,
try to stop the original sin,
try and pray and hope for God,
you yell scream, lie, and fraud,

What if I died from hate insane,
what if the love is brought to pain,
what if we'll never learn to pray,
you know that's all I've got to say,

The rocks under the hole,
the hate filling our soul,
the light of the day,
I hope it will stay.

You pose some very deep questions. Hopefully, the reader will take the time to answer them in his or her heart, with a pure thought process. I can see a window of opportunity in this poem for people to understand themselves better, if they take take the unbeaten path. Self-discovery! Isn't this what it's all about? Well done....
