A LetterA Poem by oranges_meltread it. it's open.I may not be wealthy, I may not be smart, but you are not perfect, broken up from the start.
Can I write you a letter, to dwell on who you are, the distance between us, no matter how far?
You are my pill, but now I'm away, it doesn't matter, nothing you say.
I'm free from your craze, I'm free from insane, the poisen you sent, cut off from the pain.
What will the letter say, what could I write, when you're locked up in jail, and lost in the light?
I think I will tell you, I'm free to be me, I'm free from the torment, just wait and you'll see.
I will write how it's great, it's safe from your daze, your drunken slurs, and your life was a maze.
I'll tell you it's nice, to be away from the beer, you'll find my new pics, I'm a new person, dear.
I've grown to be smart, to be cautious around, the new things in life, the new things I've found.
Would you be upset, if I sent a few flowers? so you can't get high, and breath for a few hours?
I don't think you care, whether I sent a letter, would I give you the time, or knit up a sweater?
I think you need this, more than I need it too, so give me the patience, and how do you do?
I'll write this here letter, and seal it with a sticker, give up on the beer, and your sickening liquor.
Read it with time, and think about it for chance, that you could start over new, a new life to enhance.
It's a pretty little thing, handle and prepare, for a new life to lead, live in despair.
But for now your stuck in this jail, it's punish for your act, but don't you forget, at least you're not cracked.
