Blue Sky

Blue Sky

A Poem by oranges_melt
"

it is what it is.

"

Sunny days are overrated,

too-big words are desecrated,

beauty shines when no one looks,

and love is found behind the books,

darkness finds it's way around,

everything in love is bound,

talking and chatting gets ahold of time,

until the squeaky door turns to grime,

the world is a very pecular place,

like kitten whiskers and pretty lace,

like fruits and birds and crunchy fries,

like broken hearts and withering lies,

blue skys are wonderous things,

purple silk and velvet strings,

under and over those things too tall,

like little children and their too-big fall,

sticky fingers and little knacks,

crime scenes and red-hand facts,

fun and games and stupid stuff,

come in packs with a single bluff,

wonder why I hold this dear,

for it escaping me I fear,

a kiss, a hug, a little smile,

maybe I could wait a while.
