A forest green eyed teen glared at her beeping alarm clock, and wish that it would die a painful death and let her go back to sleep. Did it? No, it kept going off until she decided to roll out of her nice warm bed and go about her day. As walked down the hall she paused at her brother’s door, thinking rather or not to wake him up, so he too, can face this perfect morning. Reagan decided against it, she wasn’t up to face her crazy little brother this Monday morning, though it would be fun to drag him out of bed and kicked who was in there with not out, with no clothes on.

She made her way into their  small kitchen and fixed herself a small cup of coffee while adding spoonfuls of sugar and cream. She closed her forest green eyes and thought about the tests she had to take today. Why did she ever decide to go back to school? Especially the kind you had to pay for.

And I have double shifts at the store today. She let her head fall to the wooden table and groaned. Why did everybody have to be against her? Maybe I should wake Nex up…No because then I’ll either have to deal with his happy and annoying attitude or his leave-me-alone-or-go-to "hell one and I don’t feel like dealing with neither. Reagan slowly lifted herself off the light brown wooden chair and made her way back to her room to get ready for the day.

                                  ----

Nex had heard the alarm clock go off in his sister's room, thinking along the same lines.
'Can't we just burn it?'
A smirk crossed his face for a moment before he slowly turned over onto his back. He threw his arm over his eyes as sunlight streamed through the side of his slightly broken blinds. He figured that Reagan would come along momentarily and wake him up... Or at least try. He had already planned to fix her with a glare and possibly toss a globe of water at her head, but when he heard her stop at his door for a moment before going on, he shrugged groggily and rolled back over. That was a bad idea...
His dark blue eyes became slits as they locked onto the other person in his bed.
'Oh yeah...'
The other's back was turned to him so that all he could see was spiky brown hair, and tanned skin. The upper back was dominated by an intricate tattoo of a large red and gold phoenix. It was impressive and probably the only reason Nex bothered to f**k the guy.
Waking up to another was hardly new for Nex and definitely not a bad thing, he had gotten laid after all and remembered every last delicious detail, but on the other hand, his sister hated it when he brought strangers into their apartment. The only time she liked to meet the men that caught Nex's attention was when he was seriously considering dating them, mostly because he wouldn't do it if she didn't like the guy. For him, the only opinion that mattered was her's.
Nex jumped a bit when the guy shifted, turning over and flawlessly wrapping an arm around Nex's waist, pulling him to his surprisingly muscled chest. He didn't relax into the other's embrace for a few seconds before letting it go. Generally speaking, he disliked cuddly embraces with anyone who was just a one night stand; even though being held was the one thing he wanted most. It just felt like a cheap imitation when the one holding him wasn't really holding HIM a much as holding the body closest to them. However, Nex did let his head come to rest in under the guy's chin, his wilted black and purple spikes giving further under the pressure.
Nex almost laughed when he heard a thumping sound coming from the small kitchen down the hall that was probably his sister smacking herself over her too-full and busy schedule. He had told her beforehand that she didn't have to do all that crap, he mad enough money for them both to live off of comfortably as long as she had an average job on the side, and even then it only had to be part-time. She simply snorted at him and said something about how he shouldn't do what he does in the first place. The boy rolled his now sky blue eyes.
'She's probably right... but at least it's a damn good living.'
That and it brought him such good things as this bronzed hotty. He nearly laughed at himself for that one.
He lifted his head slightly as he heard the footsteps go by his door on their way to his sister's room, obviously to get ready for her long a*s day. He let his eyes slide back to his one-time-only lover.
'How the f**k do I get him out of here...? Damn it all...'
He let his eyes slide shut again as he drifted off to sleep.
'I'll just wait for her to leave... she won't bother me on her way out... Probably.'

      ----

Raegan left the apartment not even bothering to a second glance at Nex’s door; her day was long enough as is. And besides, who knew what Nex was screwing in there. She shook her head of her thoughts and continued he walk to school. The dark brown hair, green eyed girl paid no attention to where she was going on the busy street and paid no attention to what the people around her where doing. Who would cause trouble in Incendia, there were guards everywhere in the city, so who would be stupid enough to try anything.

A sigh escaped Reagan’s lips as she got closer to the school. She wished that there was a way for her to skip all her tests and classes and her double shifts at work. If only there was a way…The next thing Reagan saw was that her world was in complete darkness.

“Ow.”  Reagan groaned as she rolled over so she was lying on her back. This was not what she had in mind when she wished for a way out of her classes. “Where am I anyway?” She looked around the room, or cell which the she now called it. It had three solid brick walls and a wall of metal bars, the floor was made of cement. There also wasn’t a bed, just blankets on the ground, and a bucket so a person could do their business. “Great. I wonder what I’ve done.” She said aloud as she thought of all the things she did wrong. “That’s right. I DID NOTHING WRONG!” Reagan yelled the last part, not caring if anyone heard her. Great, once Nex finds out about this, he’ll never let me live it down.

She slowly sat up, wincing as she did so, and glared at the bars in front of her. And she thought of all the people who could have done this, when there were about ten guards on the street she was on. That was when the thought hit her. The government kidnapped her! But what did they want with her. Well, I heard that they were looking for descendents of the Godless. But still, wouldn’t I know that I had some kind of power like that.  She ignored the fact the she could listen on people’s thoughts, or when she got mad objects seemed to float in the air and flew at whoever was close, and most of the time it was Nex. She also ignored the fact that her little brother would do things with water that no other person could imagine. Well, I don’t ignore them completely, it’s just we thought it came from the spells we messed up on as kids. Not that we were part of the Godless.

She refused to think about the many spells she and Nex did when they were younger, and how some didn’t work the way they wanted them to, or the fact that half the time their parents would interrupt them and start yelling at them. But they always thought how they got the abilities they use today. Then again that might explain Nex turning their parents’ home into one big ice cube.

“Okay, I’m getting sidetracked. Back to the problem at hand.” Reagan said to herself as a guard passed by her cell. “A*****e.” She flicked him off as he went by, and he just ignored her, which cause her to glare at him more.  “As of right now there’s no way out of here. So might as well take a nap.” Reagan thought of the few hours of sleep she got last night, and knew that if she wanted to get out of here she was going to need more than just four hours of sleep.

                 --------

Nex woke up and immediately regretted the action. His head felt like it was splitting and his vision continued to swim for a few excruciating moments. When he could see straight, he looked towards the bars that seemed to be keeping him in some kind of cage. One fine eyebrow arched at the figure sitting, more like squatting, outside of his little cell. It was a guy, possibly a bit  older than himself, with hazel eyes and chestnut hair that seemed to be going crazy in a spiky fashion. He was tanned and muscular in all the right ways and his face seemed to be kind, creased with concern. Nex felt an instant attraction, there was just one problem... He was inside a cell and the other was outside.
That's when it all came back to him. He had waited for Reagan to leave before making the guy in his bed get the f**k up and get out- that had been pleasant, and then gone about his usual routine of slowly waking up and getting dressed. He had had his coffee, showered and dressed, and finally finished spiking his hair when he heard some kind of noise in the apartment. He had originally been horrified by the thought that they had rats.
'I don't have time for this! I need to go shopping before I go to my classes, then it's off to the club... Shouldn't strippers have fewer problems than this?'
Rolling his eyes, he walked out of the bathroom and mozied into the kitchen. He figured he could let the possible rat problem go until he got back home in the morning, or maybe leave it for tomorrow. Just as he was walking towards the door after grabbing his bag, a fist seemed to come out of nowhere and smack him right in the left temple. He fell hard and before he could register what had happened, a blur of color slammed into his forehead, then his world faded to black. All he had been able to see was a pair of light brown eyes that seemed really sympathetic.
He glared at the guy outside of his cage.
'I'm a descendent of the Godless... I'll show you sympathetic...'
He gave the boy one more normal glare before his blue eyes began to glow an icy blue. The boy in front of him stood faster than the eye could possibly follow but by then, Nex was nothing more than a large body of water. This was one ability that he had never told Reagan about developing. Just like he had never told her about them being born from the Godless. His extracurricular activities had told him a lot, but he had never wanted Reagan to get involved. He knew how she liked her powers, but he also knew how she hated seeming like a freak.
The fast boy’s eyes widened, they probably had never even considered this facet of Nex's abilities. Without another wasted second, Nex's watery form flowed out through the bars in a wave that would have severally harmed any other person, but his captor was able to move out of the way seemingly without moving at all. He followed up with a flurry of punches and kicks that went faster than anything Nex could even conceive of. Still, every hit the other landed simply slipped through Nex's watery body. Before Nex could move to attack the other himself, the guy zipped off, but just down the hall...
'Did the f****r just go through the wall....?!'
Nex shook off his amazement and decided to start looking for a way out of here, while maintaining his liquid disposition. He stopped after a few seconds of moving as a thought struck him.
'If they got me... Reagan!'
