It was thrown together in a moment of inspiration from a picture i came across. Not the best, really, but hey i figured i'd post it anyway
Angel and demon So close but so far Why would someone so good Want someone so bad? It only brings her pain For some reason that brings him joy But yet they still try to shove themselves together Trying to get along Soon the angel is corrupt The demon has had his fun He moves on and she is left behind All alone, never to fit in with anyone For she is an outcast Alone and afraid Her mind has been changed, For she sees differently now "Demons are not worth the pain They serve nothing in this world but that" She is blinded by pain and anger That she turned into hate Never again to look at the world with her once pure eyes She now sees out of eyes that are blinded Never to love again She is alone She hopes someone will come along To prove her stereo type wrong No one has And she believes no one ever will Until then she will sit in hate Looking at the world differently As an outcast, alone But for some reason, wanting another demon Angel and Demon So close but so far Why would someone so good Want someone so bad?
It was kinda thrown together so its not as good as it could be. What do you think? (If any of you are smart, you can see there is more than meets the eye)

When I read this poem I got a strange feeling. First, of all I would love to see this poem done as a monologue with no punctuations. The way it just goes on and on really sucked me right in. I saw a girl that had never given everything. I saw her fall for the wrong guy that had beautiful side as well. He made her care about him, but he took her heart only for sport. Seemed she wanted him to look at her the way he used to, but he was finished with her. The world around her treated her as damaged goods. She no longer had her honor. She had given it away. She accepted her position as not being worthy because that's life and her reality, but she secretly had hope that someone would love her unconditionally. She was callous and didn't have the ability to love anymore, but she secretly hoped a man would come along and renew her faith in love.
There was a wonderful story and imagery here, but metaphorically I found the message to be amazing.

Fabulous job, The flow was perfect, as is the imagery. :) Maybe I'm wrong, but perhaps the message in between the lines is religious prejudice? Or maybe I'm just getting sensitive to that because my religion has been locked down upon since the dawn of time. :/
Overall an excellent poem. ♥

I like the flow and the story. The temptation of beauty bring the wall of fear and common sense down. A excellent poem. I like it all. Thank you.
