''Come on. We're leaving.'' I said to Blaze.
''Where to?'' He asked.
''Jeans berg, California.''

We raced down the streets in Blaze's Mercedes-Benz, swerving through cars, and in and out of lanes.
I felt a vibe of terror from Elis. ''Slow down a little.'' I said placing a hand on Blaze's.
Without questioning, he slowed 10 miles.

Her vibe calmed, which concerned me.
A human child would still have been terrified. We were going 150 now, and she was calm.
Although she was a sweet girl, there was something strange odd about her.

''How far is it now?'' I asked Blaze.
''Not too far. Just 85 miles.''
''Good. We should get there in about 2 hours.'' I said.
''Not at my speed.'' He said. ''Cut your hours in half.''

I sat back and crossed my arms, staring out the tinted window.
For about 50 miles, I daydreamed.
For 30 more miles, I questioned Elis on what her brother was like. And on his appearance.

5 miles and we'd be there.
Just 5 more miles.

We soon came to a smooth stop.
I hopped out of the car, finding myself staring up at a big, 2 story mansion.
''Is this it?'' Blaze asked.
''Yeah.'' I said. Grabbing hold of Elis's hand, I walked with her to the door, Blaze close behind.

Before I could knock on the door, the doors opened and we entered the home, the doors closing behind us.
''Elis?'' A whisper came from the shadows.
We all looked around for the owner of the voice.

''Elis, it's me, Rodney.'' Out of the shadows came a boy, no older then me, with long blonde hair, pulled back in a ponytail, his bang loose.
He looked just the way she described him, although very handsome.

''Bubba!'' She shrieked, and ran to her brother, jumping into his arms.
''Oh! I've missed you so, dear sister.'' He whispered softly in her ear.
''How long has it been?'' I asked.
He looked up at me.  ''6 dreadful months.'' He explained. ''Please, come and sit, so we may discuss this matter.'' He said and led us into a room.

We all sat around a dark woodened table.
Elis sat by Rodney, clinging to his arm.
Blaze and I across from them. Me, directly in front of Rodney.
''I'm Nalla and this is Blaze.'' I said.
''Nice to meet you. And thank you for saving my sister.''

I nodded. ''So how did this happen?'' I asked him.
''Well...'' He began. ''My father was angry with my mother. They had a fight, worse then usual. My father striked my mother, causing her to fall to the ground and packed up our things, forcing us to leave. We flew here. I was terrified. But Elis was too young to understand. She was a baby. I was 13, and I wasn't as strong as I am now. But my father was. 3 years later he dumped me in the middle of an unknown place. But before they left, I wrote a note and gave it to my sister, slipping it into her pocket.''

I slipped the note out of my pocket. ''This?'' I said, handing it to him.
''Yes.'' He said surprised. ''I was hoping she would've understood, but...I can't believe it.''
''How long has it been since you left London?'' I asked.
''6 years.'' He said. ''And now that I have my sister, we can go back. I could've left sooner, but I knew I had to find Elis first. I couldn't leave her here alone. It would have killed me. My mother as well.''

As we talked, I explained to Rodney what happened the night I found her.
I accidentally slipped, in saying how I had bitten the guys.
''So you're one us.'' He whispered.

''You're a...''
He nodded.  ''Yes. But I'm afraid my sister is not.''
''What do you mean?'' I asked.
''Elis isn't a vampyre.'' He said. ''She's a werewolf. Like my mother.''

I looked at him wide eyed. Blaze's jaw dropped.
So that explains her strange behavior.
''That explains a lot.'' I said.
