I tried to make it non-emo. I think I failed a little bit.

Optimism
Just walked out the door.
And I think my hopes
Have just kicked me in the face.
My smile's fading
Though it was never really real
And my heart is breaking
Even though I'll not admit it
To anyone.

How could I have been so
Blind?
I was walking to the edge of a steep, steep cliff and
I didn't even know it.
I'm not
In love
But I'm wasting these words about you.
Because I'm in
Unrequited.
I'm in
Crush.

And now
I'm in
Heartbreak.
