Skyscrapers

Skyscrapers

A Poem by Tori
"

I love big cities. And I love love. Hence, this poem.

"

Newsprint promises

Silver in the streets
Diamonds in your eyes
And stilettos on my feet
Let's hit the city
And paint the town red
Let's dance 'til midnight
And forget to go to bed
The horizon will shimmer
And the sun will peek down
At you and I
In this big, complex town
And though it's so bright
And so high above
It will still be blinded
By the luminescence of our love
Because I am the match
And you are the candle
We're bright and beautiful
And too hot to handle
We'll walk down the street
Completely complete
With diamonds in your eyes
And stilettos on my feet.
