Prologue

Two mysterious woman with shining wings appear in a dark, silent hall...

The endless rain splattered on the roof overhead, echoing through the large stone hall. A beautiful young woman stood at the window; wispy, fire-like wings stretching out behind her. Beside her another woman stood, equally as beautiful, with dark, amethyst wings slightly swaying with the breeze.

"We're running out of time," said the black haired woman, narrowing her deep violet eyes, "your wings should have been gone by now. If we don't find her so-"

"I know okay?!" the other woman interrupted angrily, her orange wings flaring. "I am completely aware! It should have been years ago, and nothing's happened!"

Her shouts echoed behind them, only to be quickly silenced by the rain. The black haired one paused, keeping a straight face.
"Send out more searchers. Your little fire breathers love to mess with people, after all."

The fuming woman sighed, pushing her crimson red hair behind her back. "We've searched all of Sacara. She's not here. That dumbass must've found a way to kill her! I swear, if i ever get my hands on him, I'll-!"

"Patience, Demitra. Settle down and think."

Demitra let out a loud sigh, and her wings steadily shrunk to normal size. "Jazlynn, I can't take it anymore. Everyday, I wake up, wondering if this will be the day that I become nothing but a nobody! And there's no way to stop it from happening."

"Just leave everything to me," Jazlynn softly replied, setting a pale hand on the faerie's shoulder, only to flinch away when the skin burned her fingertips, "...there are other worlds."

Demitra nodded, and leaned on the cold stone window, letting her mind wander.

Footsteps echoed silently, getting quieter. The faerie whipped around, watching the amethyst wings slowly grow darker as Jazlynn walked away.

"...Jazlynn."

The dark faerie stopped, only slightly turning her head to the side.

"...What world are you going to search?"

A slight smirk grew on the shadowed face. Then she turned, and the hall became pitch black - the fire and amethyst wings the only source of light.

"...Earth."

This is definitely going on my favorites; the 6th book (all of maddie's books count as one book XD) that i'll check a million times a day. so if u have zillions of views, they're from meh. XD ^^
