Nothing.

I'm not really sure what this is meant to mean.

A wish, a dream, a hope,

nothing but a knot at the end of a rope

A love, an ex, a loss,

nothing but a soul to toss

A want, a need, a lust

someone that you can't trust

A secret, a truth, a lie?

Something sore to the eye.

This is a really short poem I wrote in about 5 minutes on the bus from school to home. Enjoy! ( Idk if I'm done writing this I might lengthen it)

I really liked this poem! It was short and simple, but it seemed to hold a much deeper meaning. I thought that the format of this piece was really effective, and that the commas in between each example gave the reader a chance to stop and think each time. I loved the tone and style of this poem, and thought that it made for a really thought-provoking poem full of truth and wisdom. Nice work,
