To Dream Above the Tedium

 and did you know that stars in the sky have been dead for years,
but the memory is still alive?
piercing the sky with radiant light.
so lets not ever let time catch us
lets dance and scream and sing to the stars
that defy death and shine their hearts out
give me a new heart and soul
and peel away the carefully placed layers of reality.
teach me to sing in the face of despair
to drown in the myriad of joys and fears and beauty
that make up the air that i breathe,
and the path that i will tread until the day i die.
teach me to hear the countless stories buried in grains of sand
secrets whispered to the cold wind in the darkness
and songs softly fading across the wind

from countless souls, joining together
to form an ardent web of those
immersed in their own farce of reality..
thinking, feeling, seeing
and now forever forgotten.
teach me to live with desperate abandon for life
to be loved, hated, 
to stand alone or united,
but never forgotten.
