Dedicated to my older brother

The days of mimicking power rangers and watching x-men are over

The days of me being scared of the dark and me sleeping in your arms are long gone.

We are grown men fighting our own demons and the reason

Is because even though your miles away, we have never been apart

 

I’d have to admit that we both have been through s**t,

And through the trials and tribulations you gave up never.

You were the one that taught me suicide is selfish

So I became selfless and overcame my endeavors.

 

Our lives were in the gutter and I know I made it worse

I was the stupid selfish kid trying to act tough

Gangbanged and banged out, so we all ran away from home

And you were forced to live in a new place, all alone.

 

But you had me, despite the fact I was the trigger.

The trigger that was pulled and erased part of your future

My brother, I am sorry because you taught me so much.

You understood that family is family, no matter what.
