What Is Love

When love lets you down it becomes simple, but when you wish for love, it becomes more complex than any mind can comprehend

If love is something positive
Then why am i dying inside
If love is full of truth
Then why do lovers lie

If love is something precious
Then tell me what it costs
If love is the right direction
Then tell me why im lost

I know now what love is
And i know what its worth
I tell you love is not a blessing
Love is just a curse

I enjoyed this immensely! Such a thought-provoking piece of writing... I honestly have never looked at love from that perspective before. I mean, I know love can sometimes be "cruel", for lack of a better word, but I really haven't. This rhymed very well, and still stayed on topic, which is extremely hard to do, for me anyway. I admire this, and your emotions that caused this writing to be. Keep up the great work!

I've asked myself that question many times. This poem was short but straight to the point and had strong emotion. I really enjoyed it.
