You Are My Moon

You told me your pains, and I gave you my heart
Ripped it out of my chest, as it beats a melodic tune
A key to unleash my feelings, a light in the dark
I bask in your light, I bathe in your moon

 

I yearn for your love, but love must be true
We come from different worlds, but we share kindred souls
Our love will never fall, if you believe that I do
That i'll bask in your light, because you are my moon

I felt sad after I read your poem. There really is only one TRUE love. As long as we look for TRUE love outside instead of inside, we won't find it. You are the answer. Your poem made me think about how I relate to others when I have loved and thought I lost. You are the sun, the stars, and the moon. Keep writing.

Ah, love. It's complicated but it can be beautiful. I like this poem as well. It carries a lot of hope in it's words. By the way it's "tune" not "toon" but no worries because I struggle with spelling.
