Ambition of a man is what puts him astray
In dismay he falls and has everything taken away
His life, his power and all that made him stand tall
To fall and feel pain from this internal war
He falls to greed as he struggles to find
The eyes of his mind, the man stands blind

Wow. Another thought provoking piece. It could have several different meanings, man's struggle w/ identity,greed, power, ambition... I think the thought of man being corrupted by greed is the most identifiable. Just look at the countless number of politians and government officials corrupted by their greed. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." - (George Orwell speaking about his book "Animal Farm.") This was another well crafted piece. Keep writing!!
