One Last Look, One Long Goodbye

One Last Look, One Long Goodbye

A Poem by LostCauze[:P]

The moon gleaming down
A neverending moment
Are eyes met
Souls locked and hearts mingled
Smiles exchanged
Yearning for that fatefull kiss
Yearning for that fatefull touch
Only  the innocence of love
Not the malicious intent of lust
His heart was hers
But his mind was his
He slowly died inside
Missing her voice
She was not his
The stars gleamed in the sky
As they slowly depart
Pride ruled over love
As the first moment
Was only
One Long Good Bye

For some reason, I read this as a short song rather than a poem.. However, the emotion is easily conveyed, and your delicate choice of words is great. The sentiment of this piece is sad, yes, but it's also beautiful in that Shakespeareann way. Well done~
