Time stops as we hold hands in romance
Raindrops cease from hitting your delicate skin
Smiles that seem to last forever
Joyfull as I reminisce of what has been
Memories keep us together
But the present keeps us apart
Couples envy our stories of love
Our light that shined through the dark
Blind, no we never were
Therefore love was never blind
For my love for you would never hold true
If not for the essence of time
I will always cherish your light
That flushed out the cluttered dark
I hand you a key and an empty box
There is a reason why its empty
Cause you've always had my heart
