Whaaaaaaaaat?

"No no, really my hair is fine you don’t have to do anything with it!" I exclaimed tearing apart the braid that Nikki was having so much fun putting together with out my permission for the like the twenty-eight time in a row I told her not to.

"Oh, but your hair looks so pretty!" Nikki smiled, finally giving it a rest.

"Yeah, yours is better, you have blond hair." I said and got up from sitting on the bed. I sighed after looking around the room. After about an hour of chatting away about random things with Nikki, I had made the shy Nikki become a less-shy-but still shy- Nikki come out and still hadn't gotten a peep out of Dawn.

"Dawn?" I asked her. Dawn stopped looking out the window and then looked at me with her enchanting green eyes and said. "What?"

"Hurry up and sit with us, we need to talk about important things now." I said, referring to the discussion in the dusty file in my head named 'Who are we and why and how we are here.'

"No." Her answer fell like a rock, making my eyes darken.

Okay, I know I have a couple of flaws and one of them is a really bad knee-jerk reaction when anybody tells me no about anything.

I raised my chin and looked at her in the eye. Nikki, being smarter than an average girl who was kidnapped by a jerk face vampire, went still. "What?"

"I don't want to talk about what happened," She said, deceptively mildly. "Just want to listen."

"You agreed to." I said equally mildly.

She shook her head, one side of her mouth coming up. "I agreed to talk; you agreed to answer every question we have for you. Now can you leave me alone?"

"Fine you want an answer, I'll give you one," I said angrily. "No, I won’t leave you alone; now get your seventeen-year-old butt over on that bed!"

She glared at me. "Why do I have to listen to you, your sixteen and I'm seventeen."

I glared back at her. Just as cold. Just as fierce. "Because I'm been here longer than you have and have probably experienced worse things than you have."

We stared at each other for the longest time and then she finally nodded and sat on the bed without a word. I looked at her with a narrow-eyed suspicion and then followed.

"Okay," I started sitting on the bed in between Dawn (who was still glaring at me by the way) and Nikki (who was staring at Dawn nervously hoping she wouldn't rip off anyone's head.)

"Let’s start with Dawn," I said purposely trying to get on her nerves.

"N-" She started and stopped short when I gave her a look. "Fine."

"Where you from?" Nikki asked shyly out of nowhere.

Dawn started to play with her fingers, almost glaring at them. "Bloomington, Illinois"

"Um...so how exactly did you let yourself get kidnapped?" I ask not really knowing what to ask. Didn’t think I'd get Dawn to cooperate...

Her head snapped up. "I DIDN'T ALLOW MYSELF TO BE KIDNAPPED!"

I put my hands up in denial. "Whoa, whoa, easy there. Just answer the question."

Dawn ran her fingers through her hair and sighed and I thought I heard her mumble the word sorry but maybe I was just thinking too much. "Um...I was at a party with my friends and...I went to the bathroom to go put on my make up 'cuz there was a guy that I had a crush on that just arrived when umm.." Dawn stopped, afraid to go on. "...w-when I got out, Ace was there and...we started to flirt a little cuz I thought he was kinda hot..."

"EW!" I yelled out loud. Everyone looked at me.

Oops..."Uh, sorry, its just that, Ace is kinda hot but he's such a jerk I had to say that...uh, yeah continue." I said embarrassed, rubbing the back of my neck, feeling my cheeks flame, because in reality, I knew Ace wasn't just kinda hot. He was extremely hot.

"Yeah..."Dawn smiled and continued. WHOA! MS. DEPRESSED SMILED! I thought to myself before she did. "After we had talked for a while...he took me to his car…"

I hate where this is going...I thought, doing my best to ignore the need to comment on her story.

"Uh…the next part kinda makes me ashamed.." Dawn said hiding his eyes with her long bangs.

Then, I exploded. I couldn't hold it in anymore, what she just said made me think to much. "YOU HAD SEX WITH ACE IN HIS MUSTANG?!!"

Dawn's face turned pale and Nikki, stared at Dawn the whole time with her mouth open in shock.

"No!" Dawn said. I sighed with relief and calmed down a bit. That was one no I was actually happy to hear. "Um...we made out for a while...and then without reason he stepped on the gas and headed straight towards the woods. I asked him what was going on and asked why he was doing this to me after we made out and he told me that he only used me to get what he wanted and then I got really angry and I started to make a break for it, but then he stopped the car and started to tie me up with a rope and put duck tape over my mouth...it hurt and after a while Ace started to take me to a whole new different state in an hour, but he took me through this rainbow portal thing and…ugh this is so stupid..."

I was quiet for once and Nikki was silent as well. Dawn cleared her throat.

"THAT JERK FACE! WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS! KISSING GIRLS FOR NO REASON, JUST BECAUSE HE CAN!!!" I yelled, angry like a bull.

"He kissed you too?" Dawn asked, giving me an oh-my-lord face.

"YEAH LIKE AN HOUR AND THIRTY MINUTES AGO!" I said angrily.

“You’re too loud!” Dawn said motioning to cover my mouth but then there was a knock at the door.

 

Oh no, those rancid vampires can hear everything we just said. We’re screwed. Please don’t let it be…

The door open just a crack and then of course, all heck broke loose.
