Getting settled with MORE vampires...yay?

Getting settled with MORE vampires...yay?

A Chapter by A.M.V.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" I asked. Garret had this big plan to get me a room but it included meeting the vampire that Ace told me to stay away from. Danny.

"Positive. You're gonna love it." He said. He was pushing me forward by my shoulders and the soles of my shoes were scraping against the floor in disapproval but of course Garret was stronger.

"But...." I stopped to think. "What if you doesn't like me?" I asked. Suddenly I stopped, I mean garret stopped pushing me forward. I heard his arms fall to his sides.

Was he mad at me? Why did he stop? Should I use this time to make a run for it?

"You promised not to run..." I heard Garret mumble, so I stayed. I turned around to see Garret's expression. His face was in total shock and in some strange way, angry.

"Sky, I've known you for about an hour and I already like you! I mean have you looked in the mirror." He smiled. I stared at him by his response. I wasn't that pretty.

"Yeah you are and you look pretty cute when you blush." Garret smiled some more. I automatically covered my cheeks with my hands. I need to tell Garret to stop reading my mind.

"Fine." He sighed. I glared at him and he gave me an angelic smile.

"Garret....when I said if he didn't like me I didn't mean like-like me..." I whispered. Garret looked down.

"Oh sorry."

"It's okay." I whispered again. Silence came between us.

Garret thought I was pretty?

"Um...come on, we still need to get you that room..." Garret said taking my hand. I nodded as he led me through the hall. I was staring at his hand. His hand was cold but at the same time warm enough for me to hold. I heard Garret chuckle a little in front of me. I thought i told him to get out of my mind?

Garret came to a room with a dark door. He looked at him and let go of my hand. I felt a sudden rush when he did though...I think I wanted him to hold my hand again. Garret couldn't help but smile. I had to give him the props on that one, if somebody said that about me I would smile too.

"Is this his room?" I asked. Garret nodded and motioned me to go knock on the door. I stared at him.

"Don't worry his bark is worse than his BITE." Garret smiled. I didn't find that amusing but I gave him a warm smile any way. I stepped forward and knocked on the door.

Nothing.

I made a confused face and knocked again, a little harder this time. Maybe he didn't hear me...

Nothing.

"Is he even in there?!" I asked getting frustrated.

"Yeah he is, he's just is being lazy...I'll change that." Garret smiled. For some reason i didn't think this was a good idea.

Garret held the door knob and in less than a minute, he ripped the door of the hinges and stepped in. I stayed behind Garret.

"That wasn't very nice..." A smooth velvet voice came from inside. I couldn't help but poke my head from behind Garret's back to see who's voice was putting a spell on me.

A boy that looked just around my age but way handsomer was sitting on a bed glaring at Garret. He had dark brown hair and golden eyes. Those golden eyes geared over and met mine. I stared into his and watched a smile appear on his face. I was going to smile back but Garret thrust himself in front of me blocking me.

"Hey!" I said out loud and then covered my mouth. Oops, that wasn't supposed to come out...

The boy on the bed laughed and stood up.

"Garret, be nice."

"No, this is MY toy. Go get your own!" Garret joked around and slid me in front of him. "This is Sky...she's Ace's new...you know." Garret began but he couldn't seem to finish. I looked at him confused. He put his hands on my shoulders and didn't look down at me. What was he hiding...

"Oh...then what is she doing up here shouldn't she be-" The boy began but stopped abruptly and nodded.

"She's looking for a room and SHE was wondering if you could help her find one." Garret smiled.

"Hey! Not true! He dragged me over here!!" I yelled jumping away from Garret and facing him with my hands on my hips. Garret smiled and grabbed my face and made me face the boy and formed words with my lips.

"Oh please Danny, I need help finding a room as pretty as me." Garret said imitating my voice in a girlish tone. I slapped his hand away.

"That's not nice! Mind your manners!" I huffed. Garret smiled.

"Yes mother."

"I demand you to go your room!" I said in a motherly tone pretending to be his mom.

"Make me mom." Garret said getting in a smirky mood. I smiled along with him and jumped onto his back.

"Go! Mush! Forward! March!....uh, Danny help me out here, I'm running out of moving words." I said not looking at Danny because I was too busy wondering how I would get off of garret and how I got up here in the first place. I heard Danny laugh and take two steps forward.

I cant believe I was goofing around with two vampires I just met! Did I mention they were VAMPIRES!

"Believe it Sky!" Garret laughed. I felt a pair of hands arms wrap around my waist and pulled me off of Garret. Danny was cradling me in his arms.

"Stop Garret she wants to find a room." He said still holding me. I stared at the wall wide eyed. Danny was holding me and he didn't let go. I felt my cheeks flare.

"How about you let her down first." Garret said. Danny didn't move at first and then set me down. My legs gave out on me and I fell. But before I hit the ground garret pulled me up.

"Talk about weak ankles..." Garret laughed and led me out the door with Danny following.

"Sky." Danny said from across the hall. I stared at him and then looked behind me. That's funny, I could have sworn that he was behind us...

"He was, but not any more." Garret said.

"I thought I told you to stay out of my mind." I said glaring at him. He shrugged.

"Sky, come. You might find this one to your liking." Danny said. I gulped. There was the velvety voice again. I stepped to where he was. He stared down at me and I tried ignoring his gaze but i forced myself to look at him. His face was straight and he was staring right into my eyes. I looked down and seconds after that he opened the door for me. I looked into the room.

The walls were a beautiful shade of lavender. The desk and the chairs were white along with the bed frame. The bed covers were a lighter shade of lavender from the walls and the pillows were white, lavender, and gold colored pillows. I stared at every other beautiful thing in the room and smiled.

"This is perfect!" I smiled and then looked at Danny's straight face again. "I mean, yes, this is fine." I said still not wiping the Smile of my face. Danny smiled.

"Garret!! Dude get down here! NOW!" Ace yelled from below. I looked over to Garret just in time to see him roll his eyes.

"See ya later guys, I'm going to see what he wants." Garret saluted me and Danny and zoomed down the stairs.

"I just hope he doesn't have as much trouble getting back up the stairs as i did..." I mumbled softly to myself. Danny laughed. How did he hear that!

"Thanks, for showing me my room."

"No problem, it wasn't that hard..." Danny said. I looked down. There was silence between us for at least ten seconds and I broke it.

"Danny do you mind if I ask you some questions?"

Great job
You have great character and scenery description along with how the narrator is feeling
I would add a little more detail on Garret or Danny- or even the temperature -
The little things make all the difference and can let the read visualize where the narrator is
