Against Fate

Against Fate

A Poem by Faith

An Apple on a tree

One of many, yet the only one i seek

Unable to be in my reach, i grasp harder

Frustration flows through me

Pulling, breaking, bending

Others falling down, by my struggle

But still stay the one i long for

Peacfully hanging from a wildered branch

I reach once more, my effort useless

I leave my destination

The sky grows dark

Than, i see her

She too determined

Walking calmly towards the tree

She looks at my life, my everything

Curious and carless

She c***s her head toward me

Her sympathetic eyes hit me

She looks up once more

The apple falls in her palm

And, she leaves.
