Me duele tanto; es la tortura

Me duele tanto; es la tortura

A Poem by Faith
"

'it hurts so much; it's torture'

"

My sweet, sweet lover

Oh god, tell me i have not failed

What once was the key to my existence

The spackle in which you splattered onto my open wounds

My sweet, sweet, murderer

Oh god, forgive my every sin

Which once were the tools of my torture

The lust of him in my thoughts

My damned, damned, secret

Oh god, be rid of this awful curse

When my heart gets torn in two, by one

The posession of no cure

My heart is never to be the brightness of an early morn

But the darkness of the lightest night

Why must you kill me twice?

Why shall you hurt me thrice?

To forgive; but never to forget.

He killed me once...

He hurt me twice...

To forget; but never to forgive.

This is strange, yet captures the reader's imagination. It invokes various thougts and images, without exaggerating or any ambiguity. I enjoyed this Dark piece, Faith. Did a specific emotion or experience, inspire you to write this, if you don't mind me asking?

This is also a poem, of contrasts. There is the clear distinction (for example), between the "sweet, sweet, lover" and "sweet, sweet, murderer" (see verses one and two). Whilst reading, I could almost feel the angst, such is the power and darkness - evoked by this poem! Thankyou, Faith! Keep writing, reading, sharing and reviewing! It may also be worth adding this to our "Dark Poetry" Group, if you have not already done so?

Powerful expresssions here, as each lines flows to the next! I love the last line, I believe this is how we learn life lessons. Very nice work ~ Jude :-)
