Prequel 1: Woman in white

Prequel 1: Woman in white

A Chapter by Doogie

Down a dark and dreary road
Full of turns and lost hopes
Feeling lowly upon my woes
In the morning will I cope?
It's so dark
It fills the air
It fills my lungs
I see her there
Lost upon the world
Walking to nowhere
Where she came from
I'll never know
No houses on
This forgotten road
All dressed up from head to toe
In all white but pretty as gold
Her face is beautiful yet sad
Her fashion something of the past
My heart races
Yet sorrow follows
As taking paces
Before the gallows
I pull up and I wonder
How she got here at this hour
No lights for many miles
But she shines with a smile
I pull over and I ask
Do you need help?
And she laughs
Where are you going?
She points ahead
To a time where she belongs
Once upon this lonely road
I reached over in a hurry
Unlocked the door for the lady
A gentleman I am
So I ran around
To open the door like a man
As soon as I got around
My heart fell to the ground
As the hair upon my arms
Pointed to the stars
Neither here or over there
She had vanished
Into the air
But she was once here
How could she disappear
So I shined my light around
Then all of a sudden I frowned
As the cross of flowers
Was found
Bloomed under the light
Like a lunar flower
In the night
With a picture of a woman
The woman in white
