Someone In Pain

Someone In Pain

A Poem by Weasley

I saw a person today
Who was obviously in pain
Sunken in cheeks
Huge bag under their eyes
Which were horribly bloodshot
Pale pasty and dry skin
Chapped bleeding lips
Brittle tangled hair yanked into a bun
Their eyes looked vacant
Like every breath of life had gone
Who knows what they were doing
In a crowded mall's bathroom
Personally I think they should've stayed home
They looked like breathing was a chore
Like every single step was too much
All the energy it took to blink
Had been wasted in tears and pleas
The universe had dealt them a losing hand
And when I look even closer
I could see the broken heart
My first thought was to send them home
Whisper a word of comfort and tell them 'go'
But at a second glance, I knew
There was no helping this lost soul
They were lost to the cosmos
Permanently sucked into a void of sorrow
They were loveless, hopeless, and alone

Mirrors suck sometimes, don't they?
