Slipping Away

Slipping Away

A Poem by Tiffany
"

...the love is fading between two high school sweethearts...

"
Though they started strong with a bond that was everlasting,
The connection between them fades with each waking moment.

Each day that goes by has another message broadcasting,
Both of them suffer with the never ending torment.

Everything they do pulls them farther away,
Breaking the already rusting chain that connects their hearts.

They both want what they have to stay,
But they're missing important parts.

Love, care, and affection is all they desire,
The easiest things to see are often the hardest to find.

What they have is slipping away like ashes from a fire,
Slipping away like the eyesight of someone who's blind.

Author's Note

Tiffany
I know that it doesn't exactly flow together very well, but that's how it was supposed to be. Seems to be not very well thought out, just as the thought of being together forever with someone you met as a teenager.
