The show is about to begin.
Behind the scenes, watch as they paint their faces.
People in the audience, all from different places.
But one particular actress, have her in mind.
Now we shall see what happens behind..

See that masterpiece, its playing on her lips.
But oh, how she moves on stage, she moving her hips.
They're just a distraction, to move your eyes below her own.
But if you listen carefully, you'll notice the difference in her tone.
Tinged with sadness, but full of regret.
She's never been truly happy, with my life, I bet.
Her voice, a sheet of pain, laced with sorrow.
And when she goes home, she cries til its be morrow.

Yeah, That face with its painted smile,
Its truly artwork, working with her guile.
But it's completely the most fake smile I could ever see.
And it is night that holds the infamous key.
The key unlocks a door, full of all her hidden secrets.
It shows her mind's bruises, from all the brutal hits.
It is at night, at which she pours her heart out to her walls.
Weeping on her bed, as all her defense falls.

And at night.. She has a knife that has a lust for blood.
She lets it drown her in a this scarlet flood.
But how far can she go before it shows?
She has to cover it up, can't expose..

She dreams all night of a vivid nightmare,
But she then wakes up, and fixes her hair.
She fixes her hair, her make-up, puts on her clothes.
She fixes it all, until she glows.
She paints on that famous plastic smile.
And walks away, with complete style.
She walks into the spotlight, time for the shows.
The attention temporarily grants her repose.
And this is how her life goes day by day.
Shine in the spotlights, then cry as she lay.
