Paltry PerspectiveA Poem by AriesI can vent, too.I trapped the dove out on a limb with her wounded wing as a raven landed on your sill It mimicked me as I began to sing and close in for the kill I'm not half the man you thought of me but I still gave half the rest because by the heart beating in my chest I swore up and down that I'd try my best Would a vulture voracious and violently so prepare you for the truth? What of the chitter-banter of mindless gulls or a lyrebird's fib of flightless couth? Do the pigeons that peck themselves to death on pavement purport, too? I guess I'm just a chickenshit. I'll leave cold turkey just for you.
