Starlight

I haven't written in what seems like ages - a lot has happened between now and then. Inspiration has filled the space between.

I embrace your touch under this blanket of stars

With our silver-speckled luminosity
no longer afar,

The little things we were missing only days ago
seem to shine and bask in this passion's glow

Like your smile, and your skin
 the warm push of your lips meeting mine
Our souls entwined

I need only reach to you
Baby, to kiss each eye and bathe in blue;
To feel your heart quicken against my own
smiling, I whisper softly,
"Honey, I'm home..."

I'm finally home

Author's Note

I'm looking to improve my style objectively, and finding a steady flow in my poetry seems to be my weak point in my opinion, so any advice on how to improve there is welcome.
