New HorizonA Poem by Aries<> I wrote this one at school just now, reflecting on my life a bit.
Why do these words stain my mind, never cease and remain behind? I thought the ache had drowned away, in her tide of lies...
I look across to the blackened sky; this empty horizon so filled with hurt and devoid of life that it makes me sure It wasn't ever worth my time...
I ran away, so far away, to where the darkness
Could not reach
And now I see a new horizon
One where the light is not tainted by doubt, a place where my heart is free and proud Clouds when there are wispy and rare, and lonely rain is an uncommon fare
In a lush meadow caressed by the breeze is where my soul is most at ease On my back I gaze at the sky, this new horizon,
You and I
