Sidewalks

Sidewalks

A Poem by Aries
"

Rambling

"
Let me write this in twelve minutes
Autocorrect and all
Before my shift, a glimpse
I won't edit or proofread
A brief insight into where I've been

Sitting at a granite table in my new city
Outside my new job
New stress, new feelings
Sirens piercing my headphonea
Smoke heavy on the air

Things change as they stay the same (is that cliche? )
Tomorrow comes today

Sunday is typically a day of rest, they say

(who?)

But here is am, just rambling
Thinking about the 6 minutes I have left
Writing about nothing but just writing
Because I need to

Wondering about ghosts and chasing breadcrumbs backwards

Gotta go
