Quicksand Soles in the Running Shoes

Quicksand Soles in the Running Shoes

A Poem by Aries
"

"
like taking a treadmill walk in a marshy bog
one's feet can't help but slip more deeply
into inaction, a sedating fog
just as our ankles are submerged beneath
in apathetic tugging, indecisive attempts to pull free
"Do you even want to escape?"

Of course I do. But what do I do?

"You take a step."

Wow, simply breathtakingly amazing!
Through all the difficulties comes everything easy...
You, Aries, have rendered me speechless... There is so much that this poem says! Wow.... just wow....
If I never write poetry ever again, I can rest easy know that you are writing.
