Beautiful rose, so silent and still
Why are you staring at me?
Beautiful rose if you could only reply
What is it that you see?
So perfect, you bloom and I wonder why
Why in my eyes do you show?
So peaceful and quiet, you calm my room
Why, please I need to know?
Do you enjoy my tears? Do they give you thirst?
Does the darkness scare you at night?
Do you hate it when I scream and yell?
Have my harsh words caused you fright?
Beautiful rose, am I someone new?
Someone that can't be explained?
A burning inside, or a glow I can't see
Do you see a spirit contained?
Do you see a mirror within my eyes?
Or do you just look right through?
Beautiful rose, why is it you stare?
Is it such a distracting view?
I hope that you're gazing into my heart
And not seeing the lies of my face
