do you know i cried, do you know i died?

it was only one sentence,

it was even a short one

condensed into two lines

sent to me consecutively.

 

it caught me off guard

and my first instinct was to laugh;

but after reading it a few times

i realized just how harsh it sounded.

 

it wasn't meant to hurt

it wasn't meant to anything.

it was just there

and it was just said.

 

but it affected me,

more than i would like it to,

those words affected me,

and now i don't know what to think.

That is a powerful statement...is it someone you love?, is your mind running wild? How did it come to you or is it just a form of expression not to be taken at face value...
