half a heart

my feelings never change a bit, i always feel like s**t.

how can you tell me i'm enough,

but never ever mean what you say?

how can you tell me what i want to hear,

just to quiet my sobs?

 

you respond to my "i love you"

half-heartedly at best

and it's almost as terrible

as if you had said nothing in return.
