Lukewarm RevengeA Poem by Wynter PageHow would you see yourself? Would you be decent then? What would you do if someone took your small bit of hope and crushed it with a shake of their head? No, you're not pretty. No, you're not good enough. No, you're not even decent like you at least hoped you were. How would you deal with the earthquake? The tornado of rejection swirling to your eyes, when your face remains so still. Just a lip quiver on the outside, while the broken heart swims and drowns in the tsunami erupting inside. What would you say when you had the chance to give it back? Return the favor, return the destruction with that same tragic shaking head. Would you take that power in your hands and use it like it was before? Would you stoop down to drowning hearts and quivering lips just to see fullfillment? How would you see yourself then? Would you be decent then? © 2014 Wynter PageFeatured Review
