Rebels

Rebels

A Poem by Wynter Page
"

Who else can say in something they've so strongly believed?

"

I am the one with the scars,

I am the one with the stories.

I've carried around this broken spirit so far

to inspire those trapped to live freely.

Because of the lessons spilled from my lips,

walls have been broken down.

There's a new strength bleeding over their fingertips.

We've come too far to go back now.

They spilled enough blood, enough lives

to make sure we never relapsed into that nightmare.

The fight never faltered their will to survive,

it only made it clearer that they belonged here.

Rebels seem to be the only thing making the world right.

Call it ignorance, call it crazy,

but they have no fear with bleeding through the night.

They've no hesistation to fight to be free.

Who else can say in something they've strongly believed?

Strong impact lines here...raises the roof --- tunes its all out in the open...and the question:

Who else can say in something they've strongly believed?

Others say things without experience...and those that do it --- say it with their heart and physical wounds...I had a friend indulge me about the military...and I let him go all out...this/that...but in the end...I only said: you have no rhyme or reason to dictate --- never have you served your country...in uniform...only then do you have a right to disgrace/grace those that do wear it...conversation ended and apologized --- you are correct...we had beers and moved on to a different subject...
