Seasonal Peace

Seasonal Peace

A Poem by Willard Wells
"

Seasons

"

I feel the shadow

moving slowly across

the view of life

as the season's change.

The transition of light

limited by the shortness

of the day bringing

me to a yearly change.

Drawing me to a darker place

within the depths

of my mind.

I find comfort within.

Slowly withdrawing

from the world

I know,

finding comfort in solitude.

Thank you for taking time to read and comment on my words.
Al seemed to become darker with the time change...then heading out for church this evening there was this great big moon shining in the sky and for a time is lightened the night and my mood. Valentine

I feel the seasonal change brought this piece to me. thank you for commenting.
Perfectly titled and captured piece Willard. The cold, darker months, anniversaries or festive celebrations looming, find me feeling the words here strongly. It doesn't matter what is going on, it is who you cannot share it with that brings these beautiful and poignant words to the fore.

Photography and words are my activities to try and keep an over active mind under control. For the most part my pieces have been short since that's how I'm wired. I would like to write something longe.. more..
