A Poem by Willard Wells

black moon unseen gives

way to a cold dark night of

shadows hiding from view,

moving through the night watching

An image of scudding clouds across a blackened sky are conjured in this dark portrayal of sleeplessness.

I appreciate your time in reading and commenting.
The night always has shadows and most of our darkest thoughts come at night.... great piece!

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading my work. I work in the shadows often.
shadows do watch---and i think they are the shadows of selves who don't want to see the real them...

very stunning poem, concise but finding such a mood.

Thank you Jacob for your kind words and taking time to view my work. Greatly appreciated.
Perfectly captured words for what to most is an incomprehensible feeling beyond darkness.

Thanks Nemo for the words and visit.
When it is cloudy and dismal out, the moon and stars would be a welcome sight. Scary thought. Valentine

Thank you dear lady for taking time to visit my works of darkness.
Very eerie, this is like a scene from an old b/w vampire movie.
The shadows are extra scary...
