Time of Reflection

Time of Reflection

A Poem by Willard Wells
"

Sleep deprived

"

Lack of sleep,

mind running amok,

creating false thoughts,

fears, along with anxiety.

Not to fear,

I am aware of the demons

that lurk in the corners of my mind.

Looking for weakness

to separate me,

from all sense of reality.

Riding waves of despair,

avoiding the depression

that is driven by fear.

lack of sleep does make us paranoid..and there are demons in the back of our minds...as poets i think we face them, write them out...maybe driven by fear more than the muse, who knows..

but those corners hide the words...we just have to lose sleep getting them out.
