Why does it feel like when those dark eyes met yours, they couldn't be torn away from the gaze...its like a spark...maybe its just me but there is so much beauty in this piece....wonderful poem

your welcome:-)
I love it when a very short poem shows evidence that each word has been carefully selected. There's nary an empty, uncrafted word anywhere. I'm especially delighted with your on-going alliteration, & the first line is exquisite in this. I also love the last line. Sweet & simple observations, elevated.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my words and comment. Thank you.
This is a beautiful poem that reminds me of someone I knew a few years ago. Beauty has such an amazing ability to affect the mind, and this poem is no exception. Excellent work, and I daresay the woman was lovely as well :)

The way any good holiday romance begins, watching you watching her. Five lines convey perfectly the entire landscape held within this piece of framing it perfectly, yet the real story is yet to unfold.
Great piece.

Thank you so much. I keep going back to Island Girl. A theme I like and the story keeps changing.
Am I seeing a bit of bias here..Lol Just kidding, good description. The last line leaves the reader with the impression these this is only the beginning.

A beautiful description of a perfect woman. I was station in South and Central America for three years. A sun-kissed lady can steal your mind and heart. Thank you Willard for sharing the outstanding poetry.
