Mendenhall Glacier

A Poem by Willard Wells
"

A moment in time

"

Stand at waters edge

ice floating across the lake

as cubes in water

with eagles perched all around

watching with an eagle's eye

What a stunning vision to behold! How can one not be in love with nature when her lips deliver the sweetest of kisses. It's soulful.

Again I must thank you for your time with my work which humbles me. Thank you for your kind words.
Perhaps a better topic for Tanka as it portrays nature, the only thing I would caution you about is the reuse of nouns (eagle and water) perhaps a metaphoric description instead. This is one of those things that you learn as you write.
It's a good description and I always like the pics you find to illustrate your poems and moods.
