Simple Goals

Alone on the path of life within my mind,

asking if the road I chose

was correct in my life,

leading me to the happiness everyone desires.

Questions must be asked about my life,

expectations of the future

of this journey guided by,

I still know not what.

Venturing forward, inventory taken of my heart,

my soul, along with my goals.

My view brought a smile to my heart

with my soul full of love.

Now I can rest holding my love close,

a simple life with goals met,

at peace with the world,

so my mind can take some rest.
