New Years 2015

New Years 2015

A Poem by Willard Wells
"

Another year past

"

Memories go back in time,

but how far.

Is it to our birth

or our first year after that.

Finding my mind

not always aware of the time.

A place, a person or

perchance, just a passing thought.

Remembering times of good cheer,

fellowship and maybe a little tear.

Thoughts of my past

and passing friends that are no more.

New Years will be here soon,

as another has past.

A chance to renew,

starting from scratch, a new year.

Starting a new

with happiness and good cheer.

I get to start over

as it will soon be a New Year.

I like the sentiment. Funny thing is Will, we can start over every day. Many times a day if we so choose. We have an endless reset button on this game called life. It is called choice... Free will if you may. Personally, I stay shackled or "dead" for days or months each year because I'm too stubborn or fearful or lazy or whatever to choose something better...
Hmmmmm?
Something needs to change. I wonder what it is? 😏
Enjoyed the poetry my friend.

But do we really get to start over at the new year? Nice sentiment. Maybe if we could just abandon our bitterness of the past year that would be enough. I like this one. It's nice to meet you Willard. CD

Take from the past what you need, what you want, what you love and move on! Make new beginnings in good rich soil and grow strong like the dickens and love beyond reason until 2017 rolls around. Then you get to do it all again!

Friends are truly hard to find Will and you have found one. You can count me as legitimate!
The new year seems to be time to reflect on the old, but look ahead to the new. Hope your new start is a happy one, Willard.
