A nice haiku. I suppose that "light from heaven" represents whatever it was that brought the new day into a sorrowful life, like someone's helping hand or the good Samaritan who left a bottle of wine on the doorstep.

Roland I believe your ideas would work as my thoughts are that the help you receive from whatever source only takes place if you are an active thinking part of the solution. So pick up that wine and have a brighter day. And no you will not be magically transported to the new utopian society on that beam of light.
