my breath is lost.

When I feel you near

my pulse quickens.

When I hold you close

my soul feels embraced.

When you are gone

my heart is empty.

When you are not seen

I gasp for air.

When you are far away

my pulse is weak.

When I cannot hold you

my soul is empty.
