Lovy weather pattern isn't it. You burn, and I am perpetually walking into the swamp that was my yard.

Well our burn has taken a strange turn the last few days. Rain and flooding in the mountains and we are overcast and 80 degrees when we normally would be in the high 90's to 100's. The water issue for this country needs to be handled as a country and not just a state by state project. Get the excess water to locations that need it or can store it. We should check with Tom Selleck as he seems to know about moving water where it's needed.

I've been through a lot of drougts. God finally stopped teasing and sent a flood...

I am sure before this year is over we will have flooding and it will not solve our water problems. The flooding will be because the ground is so dry the water runs off rather than soaking in. Cannot seem to win with water. We are always in the feast or famine cycle for water. Thank you Marie for your time and commenting.

I think we will have the mother of all storms this coming winter. I also know it will not be enough and we will still for the most part be in a drought next year. Thanks for the visit and comments.

Now, here's a wee form I dearly love, and despite all the years spent trying, I've composed only a handful I consider even tolerable, but with this one, you've made it seem effortless.
It is so true, My Friend … we do often get teased when something is so desperately needed, but if we have faith and make the right steps, it usually comes.
I, have posted a Haiku on here you might enjoy, if you wish and find the time; it is titled,
"b l o s s o m • t i m e".

On the techy side, Haiku is all about Nature; thus, this is actually a Senryu, which either is about human issues or contains a human element, and both Haiku and Senryu are free of capitalization, rhyme, and punctuation, actually without a title, but I include the title, too, so I can identify it, and, besides, I think it sets the mood for the reader's better enjoyment … we deserve a bit of poetic-license, eh? LOL!

Thank you Richard and as I said to John I have read so much about the fine line between the two forms that I may just not suggest either as no matter which I go with it always seems others see it differently. I think part of that comes when you do as I did with this one and it may fall between the two. I went Haiku since I was dealing with rain and God and I for some reason give them the nature tag. Again thank you for your time and words. It is greatly appreciated.

Well, what makes it human is the "teasing" and "hope" parts, and there are those who would argue the "God" part, too, is human … that, to me, is left for others to interpret, but this is most definitely a Senryu.

Ha you have written this senyru (don't think it conforms to all of the 'rules' of Haiku?) after I said to someone I wished I could send you our rain and that god was a bit off a bad guy to have us praying for sun and others praying for rain lol

I considered it Haiku since it dealt with earth. That being said I have read many saying they do not suggest Haiku or Senryu in there work and leave it to be judged since the understanding seems to vary. It was interesting to see the rain. We have had clouds all week and the rain has been in the mountains as opposed to "Manly In the Plain". Thanks for the words and time.

Haiku deal with the seasons and although they are still 5-7-5 have a more exacting structure.
